Software Engineer (Backend / Laravel)

Who we are

AdZoic is an ad-buying platform. Brands and agencies tell us their goal and budget, and our AI buys the right ads for them, in real time — on streaming TV, online video, websites, apps, audio and digital billboards. We're a small team in Dhaka, and we build and run all of it ourselves.

Why this role matters

Our customers live in the dashboard — where advertisers create campaigns and watch their spend, and publishers manage inventory and see their earnings. You'll own the backend of these dashboards: the Laravel, the database, and the reporting queries behind every screen. We're a small, early-stage team, so your work goes straight to production.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the Laravel (PHP 8+) APIs that power our advertiser and publisher dashboards.
• Design clean code, API and database schemas for campaigns, inventory, billing and reporting.
• Write the SQL behind analytics views — aggregating millions of ad events into reports that load in under a second.
• Implement business logic that must never be wrong: campaign budgets, spend tracking and publisher payouts.
• Handle edge cases properly — validation, error handling and race conditions — so customer data stays correct.
• Use queues, jobs and caching (Redis) to keep heavy work off the request path.
• Write unit and feature tests for everything you ship, and review your teammates' code.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of backend development, with strong hands-on Laravel experience.
• Solid PHP fundamentals — you know why your code works, not just that it works.
• Strong SQL: schema design, indexing and tuning slow queries on large tables.
• Experience designing REST APIs that other developers enjoy using.
• Good habits with testing (PHPUnit/Pest), Git and CI/CD.
• Ownership — you ship it, you run it, you fix it.

Nice to have

• React.js experience — enough to read the front-end code and debug across the stack.
• Node.js or Go experience for our other backend services.
• AdTech experience — don't worry if you have none; we'll teach you the ad business.

Schedule & location

• 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Bangladesh time), Sunday to Thursday.
• Hybrid — 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
• House 42, Road 08, Block D, Niketan, Gulshan, Dhaka 1212.
